Food that is sold online does not need to adhere to the same safety standards as foods sold in brick-and-mortar stores. As a result, there has been an emergence of new, boutique freeze-dried food companies that have very little knowledge of correct food safety measures or oversight. This oversight can cause harm to you and your loved ones.
You should literally pass on any food product that was not produced in an SQF food safety-certified plant. There is no reason for a company to not give you the assurance that their product is safe.
The Freeze Dry Store has full-time USDA inspectors onsite, and we hold the highest SQF food safety certification possible. Additionally, all our buyers have been through food safety training.
In order to further assure that all our products are of the highest quality, we only purchase from suppliers that have both of these same credentials. Upon receiving new products at our facility all inbound and outbound shipments are micro-tested for pathogens to further assure your safety.
